You are probably wondering how I plan on getting pizzas and Chinese food delivered to me on the trail. Unfortunately I won’t. There are places to eat or buy food along the trail but they are often 3-5 days apart. For the most part you need to buy food along the trail to last for those stretches or alternatively mail packages of food to yourself.
I would prefer to buy food along the trail but there are stretches that you only go to very rural towns with very limited options. So I am going for a hybrid mail-buy strategy. There are about nine locations where I will have to have food mailed to me. Hopefully I won’t grow too sick of the food I have chosen. (But I probably will.)
